He asks, “Why do some home based businesses have a paid application process?” If you think the answer is to get extra cash, then you are wrong, since most internet home businesses with a paid application process refund that fee upon request and even reduce the price of their entry product by the application fee. So if the home business entrepreneur is not making any money from the sale of the application, then what good is it? The video goes into greater detail, so I’ll just briefly mention 2 reasons here (1) to weed out the “tire kickers” and “fence sitters”, and the type of person who has a lottery mentality or get rich quick loser mindset that will be a disaster for your business if they join your team and tend to quit within a month blaming you (publicly) for their failure to take responsibility for their own business success, and (2) if asking the right questions, the application can help the prospective entrepreneur figure out their WHY, their goals, and also gather the information to determine if a particular home business is right for them before shelling out the money to join.
